    Descripción


    Diurético de alto techo o del asa, derivado de sulfonamida. Inhibe la reabsorción de sodio y cloro en la rama ascendente del asa de Henle, aumentando la excreción renal de sodio, agua y potasio. Su efecto diurético tarda más en manifestarse que la furosemida (1-2 horas vía oral, 1 hora vía intravenosa) y es más prolongado (6-8 horas).
